Comment: I bought this coat for my 16 y.o. for Christmas, HE LOVES IT!!!
Five yrs ago I purchased the same coat for my now 20 y.o. and I knew it would have the same Carhart quality.
I was NOT dissapointed. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I HAVE FOUR BOYS!! The 22 y.o. was jealous :(

You can throw this in the washer/DRYER EASY!!!
My son works at the local feed store, and on cold days it works great!!

Comment: My nephew asked for this coat for Christmas. I couldn't believe the quality when I got it in the mail. We are outdoor people, and we have many labradors. The fabric is so tough that no branch or dog jumping up can damage it. It's got a waterproof coating so rain beads off. This coat was made to last forever, it's very warm, and it looks good to boot. He hasn't taken it off yet. In fact, he asked for the same fabric coveralls to wear over the jacket for brush clearing work in the extreme cold.
The duck fabric is indestructible; the "sandstone" is a softer fabric. The regular duck is still comfortable; just wanted you to know the difference. I don't think that the microsanded one would last as long, but if you're just wearing it for looks and not rugged work I would say it's okay.

Comment: Warm coat, zipper is strong, and it's the perfect size. It looks and feels durable. If you plan to use this in very cold temperatures, make sure you have a balaclava or something to protect your neck. It's not _extremely_ thick but with a good base layer this coat is great.

Comment: This is one of my most worthwhile clothing purchases! Though not heavy weight, my Carhartt is the warmest coat I own, keeping me toasty in single-digit temperatures. The outside is durable and does a fantastic job of blocking wind. I would only recommend that any pet owners not purchase black, because pet hair has a tendency to stick.
